Hey Friends
Any idea how to do a website translation from say english to french or some other language?
I am looking for an automated way and not manual translation.
Some tool or some way that works.
Regards

I think, it's not good idea to make automatically translation. It will be not correct for French speaking people. Then you will correct mistakes.

You'll be able to translate words, but you will not be able to translate the context. While the words may be correct, they may be in wrong places within the sentence and may not translate correctly. IMO, hiring a professional translating group or find a friend who is fluent in language you want translated to do all the work.

Yeah, but manual translation is so costly.
If i have a site with say 20 pages, i will be paying a huge amount for getting it to be translated it to 3 languages, is'nt it?

I do agree automatic translation won't give you desired results.
It's too limited. Specially if your translating non-western characters.

Yes, I do not think the automatic translator works well. I myself try something but the result fell far from my desire.
The translating fee may be high but u can see it as your investment ;))
However, u can use auto translator as a suggestion if u want to translate it yourself.
Remember to correct the usage and meaning by dictionary;)

Right Jenny... it's ok to use it when translating a single word.. but if you are trying to translate something like a whole document, I suggest you hire the services of a professional. :)
