Hi there,

I am currently working on a new (LCARS) layout for my website.I am however encountering a problem with the navigational menu.

I would like to have this menu centralized so I do not have to update every single page when there is a change in the menu.
Right now I am using a Javascript menu at the top of the page. But that only contains plain text and I would like to use images.
The current menu has a .js file where I can change/update the menu.

Old layout: http://www.starbase01.com
New layout: http://www.starbase01.com/index3.html

The new menu is supposed to be on the left of the picture.
I do would like to have a similar menu for this new layout.

Also I do not wish to use frames because of sub pages that are also linked to directly.

In the new layout the picture of the Starbase is already in a table and I would like to know if it is possible to make a scroll bar inside that cell so I can open new pages in that cell without the new page changing the entire layout.

I am not that familiar with programming languages, learing about Java at work and did modify some Javascripts/PHP files once, but that's it.

I know these are a lot of questions, but if someone could give me some advise on how to do all of this, I will be very gratefull.

You can either reply here or use the contact form on my website: http://www.starbase01.com/index/contact.php

Blue? There isn't any blue on my website.

But I think I already fixed it: http://www.starbase01.com/tester.html :)
Did some nice Javascripting.

The tester.html is not part of any frameset as it is.
The frameset is index3.html, main.html & top.html
I just wanted to make a nice new menu and fix that when a page outside of the framework was opened, it would open the framework, so the navigation wouldn't be missing.

Thanks anyways.

What galaxy is Starbase01 in? Are you sure you are not in The Twilight Zone? There is no menu at all on that page. No navigation whatsoever. Need a screenshot?

Starbase 01 is in Earth orbit. ;)

The menu needed to be constructed.
It has been now.
Please take a look at http://www.starbase01.com/index3.html

Not clickable yet, I need to make the links and the "on mouseover" options.
Will do that between now and two weeks.
