2 years ago I started a French Canadian world of warcraft gaming guild. Today it exceeds what I expected, we are known by the majority of french speaking canadians actually playing the game and we've exceeded the player cap of 500 months ago.
Last year I paid for pretty much all the expenses related to web hosting and to the voip host.
This year I thought maybe I could promote our main site a bit more and actually finance the ventrilo with the ad revenue that would be generated.
In order to do that a total revamp of the site is needed, which means dozens of hours of my time with a bit of help.
A rough estimate would be about 200-300 new visitors per day after revamp and lots of promotion. Knowing nothing about how much that could bring in, is it even worth it?
Any tips or steps I should take before finalizing my decision?
