Listing website url's on a webpage

Is it illegal for me to list website url's on my webpage without consent from the owner(s) first? All I'd like to do is list a particular site, say something like the url for Joe's Fishing Site or whatever. I would not be an Affiliate of any of these sites, nor would I receive compensation from listing them. It would just be for information purposes.

It isn't illegal to list a site. In most cases it is beneficial to them. The only problems may be if you claim ownership or use their images or other content without permission.

It would be just their url's (a banner/image may be used if I'm given permission). I would have nothing on my website that would damage anyone in any way, nor would there be anything inappropriate. Thanks for your input.
