Does xhtml strict just not play nice with non-web standard colors? Fang 12-10-2008, 05:02 AM Not a problem. Have you overridden the backgroundcolor elsewhere in the css? sae 12-10-2008, 09:14 AM well if I change the color to something like #333333 it works  Fang 12-10-2008, 10:55 AM Provided your monitor can show more than 256 colors there should be no problem. Showing your code may help with a solution. sae 12-10-2008, 11:15 AM well my monitor definetely has more than 256 colors....haha :D I have attached both the css sheet and the html file. I had to rename the extension as I can't upload .css or .html files so please rename the files from .txt to .css and .html respectively. The id that is the problem one is "contentgradient" P.s. I just opened the page on my windows laptop using firefox and it works fine but doesn't work in firefox on my mac. Fang 12-10-2008, 11:35 AM Shows OK for me. sae 12-10-2008, 11:37 AM Cool.
