RegData 10-21-2003, 10:40 AM Just wondered if anyone could share some good web sites or any info with regards to obtaining invisible hit counters. Much appreciated. Thanks in advance. PeOfEo 10-21-2003, 01:11 PM http://www.extreme-dm.com just delete the image in the code they give you. garysumpter 11-07-2003, 10:45 AM www.darkcounter.com as used on http://www.virtualkey.co.uk PeOfEo 11-07-2003, 04:07 PM wow, um that site has possably the most annoying ad on it ever. That is why I sometimes prefer to keep java script disabled on my browser. pyro 11-07-2003, 04:38 PM Originally posted by PeOfEo http://www.extreme-dm.com just delete the image in the code they give you. But make sure you aren't using the free version: CONDITIONS: The Tracker-code has to be copied into the source of your page INTEGRALLY AND WITHOUT ANY CHANGES. Only then the tracking will be accurate. If you change the code eXTReMe digital shall have the right to suspend services. The button connected to the code must be placed in a VISIBLE way on your page and in the size as exposed below. PeOfEo 11-07-2003, 04:40 PM woops, I did not read that part. Their code did not validate so I jacked it all up and it is still accurate. I replaced their button with a text link, so its not like its invisible, but the button looked really ugly on my site. Too late to go back now. If they delete my tracker they delete it, oh well. If I were not so darned lazy I would write all those scripts myself, but heck why reinvent the wheel. mgdpublic 11-12-2003, 02:21 PM I see that the extreme tracking has a paid non public counter. Does that mean that the free counter isn't hidden and that anyone can access those stats? Is that just BS that the counter "won't work right" if the code is changed? PeOfEo 11-12-2003, 03:42 PM yes it is, because I modded my code. What I did was changed it to a text link and I actually rewrote some of their java scripts because they would not validate. But if they catch you doing it they will cancle your service apparently but I do not think they even moniter it. mgdpublic 11-12-2003, 06:48 PM Originally posted by PeOfEo yes it is, because I modded my code. I haven't seen you use the term "server side language" for a day or two. Am I just not keeping up with your posts?
