Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : CorelDraw vs. Adobe Illustrator?
Anyone have any thoughts on which is more powerful, most potential, most options, all that? I'm currently using corel, but from some of the posts here i seems like illustrator or freehand might be a worthwhile investment, any ideas?
Also, as far as 3d software goes, which is would you recommend, Maya 5.0 unlimited, or lightwave 7.5?

As far as my experience goes, Adobe products seem to be more web-oriented and directed in general. To me, Illustrator is much better for web related graphics than CorelDraw, and it integrates very well with Photoshop, which I would recommend you use as your primary graphic application for web based bitmaps. Another plus with Illustrator is the ability to output directly to Adobe PDF format - a real timesaver. However, Illustrator can be pricey, and depending on your budget, CorelDraw might be the perfect fit. It has great features for the price, and shouldn't be overlooked.
If price doesn't matter, I would recomment Illustrator, along with Photoshop.
