RSS : Multiple <image> tags

Could someone please let me know the validity of following.

1. Using more than one <image> tag for <channel>

2. Having <image> with <item> tags

By the looks of it, you could do with the RSS 2.0 specification (http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/rss/rss.html).
