Hello everyone, what is the best path for someone starting from scratch (I don't even know HTML) to train to become a web developer and/or programmer? Should I go to bricks and mortar school (KC,MO area) or should I take on-line courses? Or just get some books and teach myself? How many different technologies do I need to learn? Any recommendations on books that provide a good introduction to and overview of the field?

I'm a good analytical thinker but have no higher math skills - will that hold me back?

There is no secret. Computer Programming is not a skill you can master with any level of education or repetition. It must be considered an art with an infinite learning curve.

Higher math is a skill you can acquire. It cannot hold you back.

Buy some books, write some code, have some fun!
