I plan on spending about 100 dollars on a PC Tablet tomorrow ... and I thought Id ask for opinions on it from people who have actually used one. For those of you who dont know what one is -- its basically this flat computer tablet thing that when you draw onto it what you draw comes up on the screen. (sorry for the lack of better terminology) anyway... i just wanted to know that if you have used one what you think of it. the big thing im worried about is not really being able to draw on it becuase i dont think i will be bale to see what im drawing on the tablet (at least i dont think... if they have ones that have that feature let me know) i just thought it would be a good investment and I would more than enjoy it -- i just want to make sure it will work as well as im hoping. Ive done some research and i found that there are plenty of graphic artists that use them. any comments would be great, thanks!

Yeah..I have a Wacom Intuos2 Tablet..works pretty nice too..I looked at alot of them and Wacom had the seemingly better deal...either way I think I made a good choice.

then one that i was interested in buying is an aiptek ... you can see it here :

its only 90 bucks... but its better than none right? when im a little better off finacially i figured i could always trade it in to get a better one. i know its a little small... but i figured since most of the drawings i do is on regular printer paper (8 by 6) it would work fine for me since it has the same dimensions. i really really want one and unfortunatly this is the only one i can afford to buy... what do you think... should i even bother ?

I've got a Wacom Graphire and I love it. It's cheap and small enough to fit on your keyboard tray. The more expensive models will be larger with more level of pressure sensitivity, but this one does the job just fine.

I've got the model that came out before that Aiptech. They're pretty good. You get used to not being able to see what you draw.
