xml in html

hi every body!
i already know how to inserte an swf file in joomla. last week i made a slide show using Fireworks, when i finished, Fireworks has automatically created an swf file and an xml file for the slideshow. when i tryed to inserte the swf file in the joomla template it didn't work because the swf doesn't work without xml!!!! i tryed to insert the xml code in html but it didn't function!!! i tryed to put the xml file in the same folder of html in my template but didn't work......................
some one can help me?
