It seems like lots of people have their products on Live Product Search, and there's many articles on the web suggesting that it's easy to add your products. But after going through the whole process of creating an account, setting up settings, etc, you get a stupid message saying:

We appreciate your interest in this program and thanks for registering your profile. We have a overwhelming response and we have reached the limit on number of merchants we can accept at this time.

Has anyone actually been able to get this working? What did you have to do? Was it something I said?

Well, it states they only have a limited amount of merchants and they have reached that limit. It's pretty clear, it seems. Just keep trying periodically.

I would believe it if the said that on the Live Product webmaster homepage, but they don't. They wait until after you create an account and fill in all the details about your business, what you do, what you sell, your name, address, url, etc.

Which leads me to believe that they either have a really really stupid interface design, or they're doing the Product Search equivalent of "call screening". I got the same message back in July.

I was hopping someone who was successful in creating an account since July would say so, and indicate when, and what type of product category they chose?

Well, then, if you're suspicious, contact the site and ask them. Remember, this is Microsoft, so it's not going to be the best layout.
