I've been learning html, css, xhtml, php, mysql & php for about 4 months now. And I'm having some trouble remembering some of the things that I've learned so far. I'm just wondering if things will get better with time? And also if anyone else has has/is having the same problem?

Yes you do memorize things after a while, but there will be times you will look up things. You can't remember everything.

If you have appropriate reference books on each subject then when you need something that you don't quite remember you can look it up.Some of the parts of each language are used rather infrequently and remembering that a way to do something exists means you can look it up to find out the precise details of how to do it.

Initially, things get better with time. Then when you start to get as old a Felgall or myself, you start forgetting things again. :p

haha well thanks for the info guys. I was starting to think that I wasn't cut out for this sort of thing. I forgot to add that I've been learning javascript and ajax as well. But anyways, I plan on making this into a career in 4-5years. So hopefully by then I'll be well versed in all of those languages.
Question: how is the web development scene? is it easy to get a job? and if so does web development pay well?
