Hi all,

I am trying to send out an HTML email... the content looks great and linking within the page works fine...

http://ca.geocities.com/l7_2003/Copy_TESTssNews_102403.htm

... however, when I try to send it out (through hotmail), the formatting gets really screwy and the linking within the email no longer works (jumps from the message to the Hotmail inbox)... I am assuming maybe it changes the link when I send it?

... I've tried a 3rd party HTML email site which must make some mods to the code because the page looks great in email

http://ca.geocities.com/l7_2003/Devmail_unmodified.txt

... but it replaces all the links with its own and I'd rather stay independent of that (this is all a favour for a friend at my school).

... I've also tried sending it out through MS Outlook 2002 but that isn't working either (can't figure it out)

Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks for your time!!!!!

~ Ian

I had similar problems before and ended up investing in eCampaign from lmhsoft (http://www.lmhsoft.com) - works excellent, allows to code by hand, do it in WISYSIG preview, or to drop in pre-existing HTML file and change it within the emailer, also gives an option for the plain text. The beauty of that soft is - it AUTOMATICALLY figures out what the receiver has and delivers an email compatible with their mailbox. For example, all of AOL people on my end receive plain text (with http:// turning into links, of course), while everyone else gets nice HTML content. I highly recommend it. Ever since I started emailing with eCampaign, I've stopped receiveng complaints about "garble" in the body of the email.
