How to find a phone number (http://www.howtofindaphonenumber.com/)

I just put this up a few minutes ago.
I have a few telephone and directory related sites, so figured I would use a couple of telecom domains that I have been sitting on.

It seemed a no-brainer since I had a lot of ideas for scripts and things that would be useful to the searchers that enter this keyphrase into Google - it actually gets quite a lot of searches.

Besides I have a pagerank 6 telecom site that I can link to it with... might help get some traction.

Any and all criticisms, curses, accolades are appreciated.

Hey,

Right off the bat - the site is too crowded and overwhelming. Thing just seem to be shoved into tight spots without any whitespace or grouping.

The first thing I did was look for main navigation. I looked at the top, but disregarded it because it seemed to just be ads. So then I checked the left hand side. Again, only ads. This made me immediately think that it's a spammy, MFA site.

The headings (Global Phone Number Lookup & Search Directories, Worldwide Search, etc) can use a little more separation. I don't really have suggestions how right now.

The #1 thing that bothered me was the ad placement and lack of clear navigation...

Good criticism, you are right about the navigation. I'm moving some of the things around now.

It definitely more clear w/o the left-side ads. The top navigation still isn't very clear though. I would try to separate the top ads from the navigation a little bit. Dropping the ads down maybe 20px should easier to differentiate the two.

If you can, play around with different colors for the top navigation. The yellow on grey blends in with the rest of the site, making me think that it's not "important"... if you know what I mean.

Other than the top navigation and those ads, I can't see anything else wrong with the site.
