Hi,

I have a unique problem. I am working on a Flash project on a PC, but have been requested to use a specific Font that is only Mac-compatible (Helvetica).

I have the files for the font on my PC, but they cannot be added to the Fonts folder in the Control Panel. Unfortunately, when I try to attach a Font to the Library in Flash, the drop down only includes fonts listed in the Control Panel>Fonts folder.

I know that I should just use Flash on a Mac and embed the font that way, but that is not really an option. Any creative thoughts or solutions are all I need.

Thanks!

Erika

Helvetica is available for PC- if you could get that version you'd be set. Your other option would be having someone that does have flash for the mac and embedding A-Z & 0-9 and for a text field and exporting as an swf. You could then import the external swf and manipulate those characters.

Another simpler option might be to grab a trial version of a mac to pc font converter and run the mac font through that program. I wouldn't use this method for print projects but for display resolution it should be fine.
