I would like to add a form to my site to take online orders.

Is there a code to add variables together from a form ie
I will have a form where you choose what you would like to order from a drop down menu, you then add postage and packing from a drop down menu and then any extra items.
How do I automatically add everything together to give a total price?

There are plenty of forms over the internet where yo can see this functionality.

I would suggest you look at shopping cart software... If you already have your site hosted I would suggest asking your host if they have any preinstalled carts that you can use.

These preinstalled carts have the bonus of you're not forced to do the install yourself! For someone who’s new to this would easily get frustrated.
