Hello everybody,

I'm interested if you fill timesheets in your company? If so,

- how often do you fill timesheets? (daily, weekly, monthly etc)?
- which is the shortest period you have to register? (a minute, 15mins, 1 hour, 1 day...)?

Thanks in advance for sharing.

Have not filled out a timesheet since I left the military. (Military members don't use 'em, but I supervised a number of civilians also.) My business does not use them and I hope we never do. Our few employees/partners are highly motivated to do what's necessary and more. The amount of time they spend doing it is not important right now.

The only time I use a timesheet at my work is when I am wanting to take time off.

Currently it's only for when we forget to clock in/out or need vacation time, sick days, etc.

I used to use a program called "time & billing" when I was maintaining/updating websites at my old job (we charged in 15 minute increments) but that wasn't the main focus of the job it was just something we did on the side.

I don't fill in time sheets, I get paid for the time I spend at work, regardless of how much work I do(although if I don't do anything I'd get fired :p), and my bosses charge a set fee(actually it's 4 fees, but it's all arranged as one sum, it's just broken up and charged at different times) decided when discussing the customers needs.

I have to fill out a timesheet. My boss for the most part wants to know what I have been working on, but he pretty much told me he doesn't really check it anymore. I do have to fill out a timesheet for billable work. Pretty much when a client messes something up.

We use weekly timesheets to monitor our progress through a Sharepoint system.
