Hello all,

In IE and FF the navigation buttons appear fine with the right amount of spacing (that is, equally distributed along the width of the content). However in Safari, it appears as if no margin is there at all (which there explicitly is)

Result:

Any suggestions?

Remove the spans from the menu, they are redundant.
Add:.left_padding, .left {
margin-right:33px;
}

i don't know why that worked but it did, thanks. (perhaps an explanation as to why it wasn't working before?) =))

You will have to give the original code; I answer too many posts to keep track of the problems.

The photographer should have used a polarizing filter to remove the awful reflections on the chair.

LOL they looks like knot holes to me...but my monitor sucks.

Maybe the spans are already getting what they need from the parent div.
