How to add a buy it now option to about 50 product pages?

Hi,

I'm trying to help someone at my work by adding a buy it now / shopping cart to about 50 products on his website.

Would this be as easy as installing a shopping cart script and adding the buy it now button to 50 pages or is there more work to be done?

Around how much would you charge a standard client for this?

Need to clarify a few things:

The current site does not have any shopping cart function?

The site is purely static (HTML), no server-side scripts (PHP, ASP...) and no database?
