It's very pretty, slick, simple, and elegant. I like the dark background.

On the other hand I don't see what the selection criteria are or what the award is. Is it just your personal opinion behind the scenes, is there a panel, is it all web-2.0 and user-driven?

It might be interesting to enable discussion of a site's presentation, but maybe you don't want to complicate what is for now an elegantly simple concept.
