Hello. I'm obviously new to this forum, but thought it might be a good place to start in looking for constructive criticism on a web site I have planned, designed, and developed since 2006.

Background: The site has been developed from the ground up, using no prefabricated frameworks or software packages. The site resides on Apache server running PHP 4.2.1 and PostgreSQL. Unfortunately, I personally do not have the ability to move the site to a server running newer versions at this point in time.

The site employs all web standards and has been written in XHTML Strict 1.1 and CSS2. Proprietary CSS properties are being used currently until Firefox and WebKit fully support CSS3 properties in use.

The site also follows Section 508 up to Priority 3. It also follows guidelines set by the State of Illinois for ADA compliance and the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0.

Thank you for your time and feedback.

I think your site works correctly. I can't find any evident tribble! Good work!

(1) Graphic design looks awesome. Good job!

(2) You have a ton of content on the homepage... I really have no idea where I should be looking. If you are indeed the Help Desk dept for your school, then you really ought to have a handful of (preferably graphic) links describing common help desk problems. Right now, it's overwhelming -- maybe just get rid of the "News" items.

(3) You should have sub-categories (or drop-down menus) on each of the pages. Again, you just have miles of content, and I keep scrolling down...

So basically... you just need to better organize your content. There's too much all at once.

Otherwise, I think the site looks great!
