Hello,
I would like an FLV to stream directly from my web site and therefore need to switch from my current host to another that will support this. Any advice?

Are you talking about true video streaming or just progressive download, like YouTube and most other video pages? True streaming will be much, much more expensive and is usually charged on level of useage or bandwidth. Why do you need streaming and not progressive download?
Here's a host I can recommend:
http://www.upstreamnetworks.com/home.php?page=flash-streaming
That's for true video streaming. That doesn't necessarily mean you need to leave your current Web host. You may want to keep that host and serve all your Web pages from there (for $5 a month) and then when visitors open your video page and if they choose to watch a video, it comes into the page from a second host (which will cost you $40 a month and up), depending on your usage.
So if you do switch over to true video streaming, check to see if potential hosts even host Web sites, not all do. Some just specialize in streaming servers. Using that service only when needed will be a more economical way.
