I'm not the best designer in the world. I come up with designs in my head that I think are awesome, figure out a way to create the template in CSS (I'm still in the stage at thinking it's great at this point), but after a week or so of starting to develop for that template - I get sick of it and think it's a bad design.
Now that you know a little about me, I was hoping I could get some comments/critiques on this template that I've come up with. I'm going for a functional design, yet I want it to have a very modern look to it to match some of the sites you would see on http://webcreme.com or http://www.cssbeauty.com/gallery.

Note: It looks best at 1280 x whatever but it doesn't break at 1024x768 - so I feel my job is done there.
