I know that at some point everyone here has gone out of their way to help people, but I really am at this moment thinking of why I waste so much time trying to help others when I don't get any help myself.

I have tried to hire freelance web developers from different locations, to work on simple projects, and it seems that every time I do this, I am the one that gets the short end of the stick. I think that is why I found myself coming here and maybe I can find someone who I can speak with to get advice in my time of need.

Here is what I need, I need someone out here that can help me in a few areas that I am having trouble in. I need someone that might be willing to work for me from time to time on very small projects, but at the same time someone who isn't going to nickle and dime me to death. I am interested in finding a partner who can share ideas, and build a good relationship with based on your ideas.

Is there anyone left in the world who just does this for a hobby, and who isn't greedy?

I need to know!

Talking about money is not allowed here, it's against one of the rules because they are afraid of price fixing.

I do web dev for fun more than work, I love to try and figure out some tough programming problem, or take some ugly code and rewrite it as pretty and clean as I can...

If you have a problem then ask, that's what the forums are for.

but I really am at this moment thinking of why I waste so much time trying to help others when I don't get any help myself.Unless you've changed account, you asked one question and answered none. I'd suggest that you ask a more specific question rather than such a broad based one, and then possibly you'll get help. A better place to start for two products would be their forums, Joomla Forum (http://forum.joomla.org/) there. You are not expected to help others here at all even if you receive help, but I really don't know what you are complaining about.

Don't sell us all short. I have answered thousands of questions here and given away hundreds of 'free helps' sometimes, given to several hours of work for pro~bono. I gave away entire functioning web sites (probably to the ire of some of my fellow Mods whom do this as a part of their livelihood.)
A specific question that I can help with, will probably be answered. A good "thread title" is useful too, as "finding nemo" makes no sense and when this thread is archived, nobody will probably ever see or read it again. Unless they are "seeking nemo" in which case, this thread will be found... ;)
