Mouseover on Chrome?

Let me start of by saying i am new to HTML.

But, I have been messing around on our company website and was trying to get a mouseover image. I searched for the right code I created an image (MSPaint) and I 'tested website in browser' and it works flawless, but when I publish it to the web the image is no longer there but where the image should be the link is still active. Why is the image disappearing, when I know the code is right because it works perfect when I test the site???

Did you upload the image as well as the html page?

Well, I am very surprised it didn't work!! I uploaded entire folder to be on the safe side and it still is blank, even though it works perfect when I test it???? Thanks for the help so far.
