How can you fix special characters in a blog?

I recently transferred my blog from 1and1 to hostgator,
and all my apostrophes have been replaced with this: �

How can this be fixed?

It is a wordpress blog by the way.

Can you edit the source of your blogs? If so remove the offending characters and replace them with ones more to your liking.

Is there a quick way to do that because I don't wanna go thru hundreds of articles to fix each apostrophe
