Its 2 months old but Im beginning now with it.

I'm probably not the foremost person to critic a forum, but my first thought is that there are a lot of topics and no theme. For instance there are forums for everything out there from photography to web design, but they all have one general focus, and that typically drives traffic based on the common interest, such as this site. Your title suggested the site was a friendly community of people open to discussion, perhaps it could be tweaked a little to be a site where friends come to get 3rd party opinions on their discussions? Just a thought.

I agree with the poster above me. also, the site doesnt have much customization. maybe thats the look you are going for though?
