Hi All,

I posted a new portfolio site and I'm having a few issues and looking for some feedback. I'm using Dreamweaver MX on the Mac. I tried to make a simple, clean website that is mostly image/visually based. This is rough and still in progress.

I made the home page using HTML 4 and linked it to three simpleviewer flash/xml galleries. The problem seems to be that the simple viewer galleries ALL have an index.html. I read that you should not rename these index.html files and this seems like it could cause problems. I embedded the simpleviewer flash gallery into an html page and placed them in separate folders.

The issues I'm having are that I can't seem to insert a navigation link to go back to my home page (index) into the galleries (just doesn't show up) and my top border line that appears on the home page seems to have vanished in the galleries.

If anyone can take a look and help me clean up and finish this simple site I'd be very appreciative.

Thanks,

Tim

I think you should add the "Back" button in photo album. It's not handly to use only forward button during the images viewing.

Thanks for your reply. I was talking about adding an html back button to navigate back to the home page not the flash gallery. There should be a back arrow if you mouse over the edge of the image in the Flash gallery. Right now the only way to get back to the home page is to hit the browser back button and this seems like an interface flaw.

I just previewed the page at work on a Windows XP machine running IE 7 with a screen resolution of 1024x768 and the formating is all jacked. I'm guessing I need to reduce the width of the page to keep it from bumping the gallery links down to the bottom. I think the web page is too wide for the screen resolution? Works fine on my laptop running Safari.

If anyone can give me feedback on how it works (or doesn't) on different OS' and browsers that would be great. And if you can look at my source code and give suggestions that would be great. This is rough and I'm an artist not a coder so I can take all the help I can get.

Thanks,

Tim
