Hi,

I hope someone can help me as I'm starting to pull my hair out (as with all IE6 problems)!!

I have the site www.embraceaustralia.com (http://www.embraceaustralia.com/) which loads just fine in any browser apart from IE6. It did used to work fine in IE6, but now it only loads part of the page and then stops. So the page shows up incomplete.

I'm completely stumped, all the HTML is valid, it's literally like IE just stops loading the page and I have no idea why.

Part of me wonders if it is something wrong with my Internet Explorer 6 (I'm running it on Virtual PC).

Does anyone else have the same issue when loading my site in IE6? Is it just my installtion or is something wrong?

Thanks,
Oli

Have you tried loading the page without the advertising scripts?

I've just disabled javascript and the page downloads ok!!!

But I guess the question now is why would those scripts prevent all the page source from loading?

Depends what html and JavaScript the advertisers are delivering. Not an unusual problem, even a slow server could cause it.
Find out, by a process of elimination, which advertiser is at fault and confront them with the evidence.

The problem seems to be coming from the OpenX scripts.. I've started a thread here to see if they can help - http://forum.openx.org/index.php?showtopic=503425605

Thanks for your help!

Had no response from anybody on the OpenX forums yet - does anyone here know what might be causing the problem?

It's so strange, but so typical IE6 - I wish I could force all my visitors not to use it!!

It appears to be loading correctly now, I would put it down to a slow server.

Hmm, it's very odd, it's still not working properly for me.. It's just the home page. When I click on the other inside pages they are all ok.

The only reason I think it won't be to do with a slow server is that it's hosted on a dedicated server (with Server Beach), and I'm using WP-Cache with Wordpress...

So it will be effectively loading up a pre-cached HTML file. There are a lot of graphics it's pulling down too, but as I say the inside pages appear to be ok....

Wonder if it's something wrong with the Virtual Machine I'm running IE6 on (but then again all other sites are fine on it)??

If anyone else is reading this, how does it work on your IE6?
