Anyone here familiar with Drupal. If so I am considering converting my website over to use drupal, but not sure if it will suit my needs. Most sites that i have found that use drupal are not that visually pleasing to me. I have a website at www.Blakestoltman.net does anyone here know if I can perfectly recreate the website I currently have in Drupal, with relative ease.
Thanks,
Blake

Saw this post on twitter and I wanted to respond.
Drupal gets a bad rap when it comes to themes, partially because the default ones are not the prettiest. I'd like to point out a number of different sites that use drupal and have a solid look and feel:

http://www.theonion.com/content/index
http://www.yo-yoma.com/
http://www.43folders.com/
http://seanreiser.com/
http://earlyreiser.net/
(OK, those last 2 were my blogs, but examples with different looks). Where none of these sites "looks like yours" I don't think any of them scream "this is Drupal". Also, you'll notice some big names there, something to think about.
As far as recreating your site... with a little CSS, PHP and Drupal knowledge you could get that look. With all due respect, might I suggest that you use the move as an excuse for a face lift. I understand that blue is a good, strong color (I tend to overuse it myself) but I think if I were you I'd consider using a different background color where the main content is. When I load your site, my eye doesn't know where it should be looking. Just an opinion.
Blake feel free to reach out the me with Drupal questions.
Good Luck!

Yes you can recreate your sites look on Drupal. You can do it in two ways. 1. if you have a photoshop mock up of your site you can use http://psd2cssonline.com to create a Drupal theme from your photoshop file. Or, 2. If you rather work from your existing html files check out this video, Click Here (http://www.mustardseedmedia.com/podcast/episode24)
