I know. I am not in favor of them either but that is not my decision.
Is there a somewhat reliable one that someone has used that they can recommend?
Thanks!

I'd be surprised if someone actually was able to help you. You're similar to other developers - you're not in favour of hit counters at all. I really do wonder if you'll get a reply that is any more helpful than mine!
Have you checked the usual (i.e. Dynamic Drive (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/), Hot Scripts (http://www.hotscripts.com/), etc.) ?
P.S. I wish you luck! This could be difficult! Maybe ask around at other forum sites?

Oh... maybe I shouldn't say anything... I've no idea of the history here.
And this isn't helpful in the way you might want it to be... I always steer my clients to Google Analytics.... they can have all the fun they like in there counting their hits and I just have to add text to their web templates... and probably google will give 'em a widget to stick somewhere... erhem.. on their site that you can just add for 'em. Though there's these map thingies appearing all over the web which they can be all chuffed with in a "mine's better than yours, my hits have a map" way... bless.
... is that the kinda answer you got before, rpgfan3233? :D
