Making my computer emulate a server

Hello!!

I am making a site with LOADS of CGI stuff and its a real pain in the backside having to upload code every time I want to test the site. Does anyone know of a way to make my computer act like a server to get around this time consuming thing?

Yeah - I've tried searching for this sort of thing on Google before but I don't really know what to search for or where to start. That link you sent me (www.foxserv.net) doesn't work by the way. Is the spelling correct?

Install Apache for example: http://www.firepages.com.au/devindex.htm is a PHP/Apache in a can.
