Extra Space Why????

HEY ALL, FIRST POSTING HERE, I am designing a webpage for
club soccer (football) here in southern california.
I have created a table for pro teams that when loaded into a browser shows aprox 1" high space across the top of the table. its blank, a all the way across the top of the 3 columns.
I can't figure out why!!!!! driving me nuts.........
I would love to e-mail the code to someone for help as the site is not active yet.
