Hello
I am a second year student i am studying to be a webmaster, my knowledge and use of (X)HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript is good. The problem being i need some experienced people in the industry to point me in the right direction of where to start gain more experience and other important code i might need and general stuff like that. University doesn't always help with these matters as they stick to the modules taught and that is it. Any one fancy helping me out..

I am currently building my own portfolio site, i am going to include i blog i hope.

Any advice would be great..

If you want a cushy corporate programming job, ditch PHP in favor or Java or .NET. Client side technologies by far pay the least (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) and are hard to come by. Most companies lump design and client side technologies together, when in fact they are separate.

You can always start an open source project of your own or contribute to existing open source projects.
