Hi everyone,

I am a web development student who is close to graduating. Currently, I have an education license for CS3 for non-commercial work I have done as a student.

I am starting a company now that I am graduating and will start doing work commercially. I am fairly dependent on Photoshop and Dreamweaver in my work flow. For my type of development, I don't do much Flash and I have never found much utility in Fireworks that I can't live without.

Clearly, I would love to get a full CS4 license, but the price tag is overwhelming me in this start up stage.

What are your thoughts? Do you recommend biting the bullet and just buying the software? Do you consider CS4 a necessity, or should I switch to using GIMP and other opensource products?

Also, is it possible to buy CS3 and save money? Is it safe to buy from some of these discount software places or from ebay?

Lots of questions. I appreciate any wisdom.

NO WAY!! get a torrent downloader. I used Bitlord but almost any is good. I got CS4 master collection off of there. I took me like 3 days to download but it beats paying the $3000 any day.
