Hey

I got a site (http://71.193.112.221:8888/). After my recent post on how to do something on my JOS web app, it appears one of the posters wasn't able to access this url. I estimate 10% people can't access it. Does anybody know why this could possibly be happening? There's a large amount of people who can access it. 90% I presume. I use linksys and I port forward on port 8888. No, my ISP ain't blockin' nothin lol. What do you think is happening? Thanks in advance, Ben.

in my case our proxies (at work) would block the port you're using because even though it's a common alt for 80 or 8080, it's also used for stuff like GNUmp3d's music streams, or whatever else you would want to put on a high port. I think the only ports we don't block are 80 and 443...maybe a couple others. At home shouldn't be an issue...but i can't speak for all ISPs.
