server domain username

How do I retrieve the domain's username with which I am currently logged onto.
I am executing some HTML, and wish to retrieve the user's current server login-name.
Any ideas would be appreciated ?

if for some one else's
then thats illegal if yours,then it would make sense that you knew your own login

I have a generic Html file, which will start up some software on a server. I wish to pass the username of the current user into the application. ANY user could be running the Html.
So thanks (but no thanks). If that's the best advice you can offer, than please don't bother answering anymore of mine.
