Ok, I'm interested in what people around the community here, use to monitor their servers. By monitoring, I refer to monitoring cpu load, memory, processes, network traffic, etc.
Basically I want a desktop application, that will track multiple servers. which would probably require some client on each server as well, which is fine.
But Just something I can keep running on my desktop while I'm working, preferably send me an email, or some kind of alert when a server is lost, or something out of the ordinary (possibly attacks such as apache and mysql ... but not required).
The cheaper the better in my case, but i feel you get what you pay for. Please list any you use, have heard of, and recommend. Free / opensource solutions would be great.
Oh, and one more thing, I need this to support windows and linux servers.
I need this mainly for web hosting but i do have some game servers, and shoutcast servers i run as well that would be great if it could monitor processes like that, but again not required.
Thanks in advanced!
