I'm creating a portal(here we go again...lol).
I need to learn some PHP, more ASP, some asp.net, and all the other goodies.
JSP would be cool 2.
I need code snipits, links, suggestions, comments, tutorials, ANYTHING!!!!!
I want it to be pretty big and good, two.
I already am very good at javascript, html(duh), xhtml, im ok at asp, good at vbscript...know a tiny tiny bit of perl.

Yahoo uses tons of perl so that would be good if people could help with that two. BASICLY...I need ANYTHING i can get my hands on!Expesially asp and php.

Why use such a variety of server-side technologies? Seems like your best bet would be to pick one and stick with it. If you need some really heavy high-end stuff, look into something like C or C++ (Or maybe J2EE?). Basically, I don't really see a use for mixing PHP, JSP, Perl, ASP, and ASP.NET. Sounds like a recipie for disaster. Other than that, just don't bite off more than you can chew. Be sure you know what you are doing before you even try to attemp anything like that.

whoa i didn't think of mixing um, that would be insane! But i want to know more about them, and since i know what java and php can do(ive just basicly looked at reviews of it) and I know that java is a scaled down version of C++(i think). So i just want to learn some of them, or at least one cuz javascript is, well, good for customazation but it only goes so far, and i will work on it for a while and plus its just for fun, maybe I can use the knolage later when I need it.

Guess it depends if you want to go with the open source options, or be tied and bound to M$. I personally chose the open source PHP.
