I don't get it. They constantly mess with everything even when it's commonly known that IE just produces loads of CSS errors and bugginess. Why are they so ignorant?

All I want to do is use an attribute selector. But I guess they thought that wasn't a good idea or something.

IE8 is actually the most compatible browser when it comes to the CSS 2.1 standard.

The problem is caused by all those IE users who haven't kept their browser up to date. At most you can blame Microsoft for not trying harder to convince the people using their browser to upgrade.
