 I'm trying to find out what causes windows parental controls to block my extremely innocent website for a kids' book - is there some content I'm not aware of? Use of cookies?

http://www.thesanddancers.com/

Anyone, any ideas? Am I being naive somewhere along the line?

The only possibility I can think of is that "sand dancer" is a mild racist term for the Yemenite community who settled in South Shields, UK - strangely enough near where I'm from.

Or is "fun stuff" too pornographic?
My mind is boggling.

Thanks for any help.

"sand dancer" is a mild racist termProbably the problem

Find which classification system is used to block your site. Ask them to remove your site from the restriction.

Not being very used to the lovely Microsoft - how do developers get in contact at this level?

windows > configuration > Parental Control > Task: classification system
Click on the website that is blocking your site.
Go to their Contact page, select Complaint.

I'm on a mac and went out to test IE on a PC at my local library - then discovered the blocking. I'm guessing the only route to microsoft's heart is to go via windows parental controls on my neighbour's PC  eh well

You said it here: -
went out to test IE on a PC at my local library

and you...
then discovered the blocking

and I ask you what made you think that a library would allow free reign on the internet?

This will not be something with parental controls blocking, it will be the library firewall policy that is the problem.

You would need to speak with the net admin who is incharge of maintaining the servers at that PAP.
