What is this!? CMS!?

Eminem.com, ComptonGame.com, Weezer.com, etc. They ALL use the same type of CMS and I can't find anything about it or what it is. It's similar to Ning social network, but it doesn't redirect from a Ning server so it's not that. I've been looking all over, but I can't find nothing.

I really need to know because I can't pay 50$ every month for an ad-free Ning, and Joomla isn't cutting it anymore.

I don't think so. I think that's just an addition to a site for like flash/java.

There has to be some kind of CMS because all these artist have similar sites with same module boxes.

Don't know what CMS they use but I use Drupal and its the best for me. It has so many components you can install for anything you need to do. There are tons of templates also so you could probably find something that suits your taste. Right out of the box its a social networking site and you can customize it to remove the login credentials necessary to view any pages. Best of all, its free and really easy to install.

Hosting companies provide this. For example, I use goDaddy.com and they provided this free and installation was a breeze.
Or if your hosting company does not provide it you can download it from: http://drupal.org/
and do the installation manually, instructions are provided on the drupal site.
It uses mySQL so make sure, if you are looking for a place to host it at, that this requirement is met.

You can also download it to your own machine (I do this before putting stuff live) to check it out.
