Is it just me or has WebDeveloper.com slowed to a crawl recently (last couple of weeks). I've lost numerous replies with server timeout messages. Page load times are way slower what they used to be a couple of weeks ago. This is the case on mightily powerful connections and computers from various locations (all in Colorado)

First time I experienced this issue was last (wednesday) night (-3:30 GMT) - couldn't even get the page to load for a while.

I can't say I've noticed it, here. You guys are both well West of our servers, perhaps it's something between us.

It is one of two possible causes.

1. A malware / Spyware or other exploit is the cause.
2. Remote server load is the reason.

and I can tell you that in the odds, its

10/11 for option 1.
300-1 on option 2.

With a handicap of a 1 mile head start on option one and option 2 carries an extra 500 kilos.

:D

Got the picture?

I'm seeing it on multiple PCs from different locations (Home/work) on XP, Vista Business with full protection and my Ubuntu Laptop. All since a couple of weeks ago and intermittently.
(Edit: Seems fast right now)

I don't doubt it, but as I said you are a good deal West of our servers which are located on the east coast. It could easily be a bottleneck anywhere in between us. When a server is overloaded and slow, it's slow for everybody, whether you're next-door or on the next continent.

Oh yea, I understand that was responding to it possibly being a malware thing. Seems OK so far today, maybe it's gone away? Hope so.

Anyway thanks for you attn to this.
