Alright, from what I've read around here, the real meat of PHP seems to be when you combine it with a DB, such as MySQL. Out of curiosity, I downloaded MySQL 4.0.16 for windows. And, uhm, I can accurately state that I'm completely, totally, and utterly lost. Any information, or links to information, about this whole setup would be great.

What way do you have it setup? Are you running a local version of PHP on your system? If so, have a read of this tutorial on setting up your personal server. It includes a section on MySQL.

1) I'm not exactly sure what way I have it set up...I didn't really set anything up, I just installed it and unzipped it.

2)Yes, I'm running a local version of PHP on my computer. In fact, I'm hosting my site on my computer via Abyss Web Server.
