I've been working on a new design for my website (http://www.jamesdimick.com/the-new-version/). It started out as an experimental design utilizing CSS3 abilities. But, after a while I decided I wanted to replace my site design with this new one. It seems to be working great in most modern browsers with one exception; Firefox 3.0.x. It works in Firefox 3.5+. It also doesn't look too great in Internet Exploder versions prior to 8. It looks pretty decent in IE8. Also, some browsers based on older Gecko versions exhibit the same problems as Firefox 3.0.x.

I know one of the major problems is that Firefox 3.0.x doesn't support positioning of :before and :after elements.

There seems to be some other issues too.

I wanted to see if anyone could help me figure out what I will need to do to make the design work in more browsers.

I have attached a screenshot of what the design should look like.

I greatly appreciate any and all help and comments. :)

EDIT: vBulletin seems to have limited the size of the image I attached. Here is the full version:

I figured out how to make it work in Firefox 3.0.x. I also resolved a few other issues.

I still want to fix it in IE if at all possible though.
