how do I change the structure of the url for a sub page?

I hope I am posting this in the right place but I want to create a sub page and I want the url to be like this... folder.domain.com instead of www.domain.com/folder
How do I do that? I couldn't even think of a good way to word that question to put it into google. Thanks in advance!!

That's called a subdomain. You set it up in the control panel of your hosting service.
