Hello eveybody,

Im new here as well to this whole web page thing, I was wondering if I could use a image as a webpage, I made a image in photoshop of what i would like it the page to look like, but now I got it and dunno if I can use it. Correct me if Im wrong but I believe Ill have to crop it and break it into pieces, but is that ok? Will the page be to heavy and take a while to load? Please give me some advice.

here is the img

I presume you mean "can I use an image as a *background* for a web page", and yes you can do that - of course you need to implement the actual functionality of the page on top of this image. It's a great image, by the way!

You will want to break this image up into sections that correspond with the functionality, like your header, your navigation buttons, and the various box titles, and then lay them in to a web page, generally with a <div> for each one. And while your image is very heavy right now, you can shrink it way down by allowing jpeg compression.

you could place divs over the areas you ant content in and use image map code to make the link buttons work at the top, but it would be much simpler to slice it and recode it properly.

Thanks both of you guys for the reply, so I guess it can be done huh =]... That's perfect, ok how to slice them is alright to do it now I think it will take me couple days until I learn how to place them into a html or anything like that.

But thanks once again.

Google time... lets go learn =]]]]]]
