Did you hear about this?
http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?p=555730&mode=linear#post555730
vbulletin and world pay brought down by large scale nukeing, yuck. Whovever did this must have had access to some huge lines. They should have resolved some of those host names and had the fbi taken a look at it. Server attacks is a federal offence (hacking in general) that is covered in the homeland security act. These people are terrorists :) When I cant get to these forums I know I am in terror atleast ;)

seriously. I live for my forums. Take them away, and I'm nothing but a 19 year old rotting away in front of his computer!

DoD's are not really that simple to crack.Usually people and organisations who's computers are used for this type of malicious attackes ,have no idea that their machines are compromised...so tracking back to src ip only takes them to vulnerable machines(mostly).

Best options are to keep your Anti-Viruses updated all the times, have fire walls up and just hope some don't get reaaly pissed of and make it their purpose of life to get into your computer..:::D

I am in a dmz lol. But I only have a few ports that are open. Actually all my ports are stealth but on my router I only have the port I use for my halo game server, shout cast, cassimi webserver, and 80 for iis. Those are the only ones I allow incomeing traffic on.
