i am teaching a class on web design next year and i want to have a list of good sites my students can follow and learn from. so far i have w3, css zen garden, and slashdot.
what sites do you recommend?

I'm not all that impressed with W3Schools. I use them quite often as my fall back reference but they are full of holes and errors. And they have an unseemly ardor for XHTML.

The irony is that their own site is in desperate need of a graphic designer's touch. They may code well, but they could win a mention in the Colour Blind and Can't Use Illustrator or Photoshop categories, I think. :P
I think this site looks really nice http://macrabbit.com/ They have a great logo and make nice use of colour and space, I think.
